Marlon J. Alexander, PA-C, specializes in seeing pediatric patients with orthopedic injuries, including but not limited to sports injuries, broken bones (fractures), developmental concerns, limb deformities, clubfeet, and scoliosis. His pediatric patient population also includes those diagnosed with spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and various orthopedic syndromes.
Marlon received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in rehabilitation counseling from Southern University and A&M College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While there, Marlon played football for the Southern University Jaguars for five years, winning three Southwestern Athletic Conference Championships. Shortly after graduating, he entered physician assistant school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physician assistant studies.
From 2004 to 2009, he worked with a Louisiana orthopedic group, focusing on general orthopedics, total joints, trauma, and sports medicine. He joined the UT Physicians pediatric orthopedic surgery team in 2009. One year later, Marlon obtained certification in the Ponseti method of treating clubfoot deformities from the University of Iowa. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Marlon enjoys real estate investing, hunting, fishing, and riding his horses. Most of all, he loves enjoying life and spending time with his friends and family.

He is a clinical preceptor for the University of Texas Medical Branch physician assistant students.
