Planning your next trip? Give UT Physicians International Travel Medicine Center a call! Whether you are charging off to Africa, shuffling off to Asia, zipping down to Mexico, or dropping down to South America, our team is here to help you.

If you prepare properly for your trip, common illnesses—such as traveler’s diarrhea and malaria—can be avoided by proper preventative therapy and education. Our expert physicians provide comprehensive pre- and post-travel medical care, immunizations, and medication for the business and vacation traveler. For the best results, we recommend you schedule an appointment at least 4 weeks prior to travel.

Services

The UT Physicians experts in infectious diseases and travel medicine offer:

  • One-stop care, including all required and recommended immunizations, exams, and preventative medicines for trips to any country
  • Pre-travel physical exams
  • Phone numbers of U.S. embassies and consulates
  • Up-to-the-minute travel information
  • Scheduled appointments
  • Specialized follow-up care

Cost

All immunizations require immediate payment by cash, credit card, or check. The clinic does not process travel immunizations costs through insurance as they are not covered by most plans. Patients can request a receipt if they would like to file with their insurance company.

Immunizations offered

Travel immunizations are the best form of protection from serious diseases. If you’re pregnant or have a chronic medical condition such as asthma, diabetes, or epilepsy, be sure to consult your provider prior to departure.

Yellow fever

The yellow fever vaccine is administered by a state-certified provider at the UT Physicians Travel Medicine Center at UT Physicians Multispecialty – Bellaire Station. Call 713-572-8122 to schedule an appointment.
