UT Physicians internists and specialists offer extensive cross-training in a variety of specialties, enabling them to serve the health care needs of the entire family, from newborns to seniors.
Board-certified lung disease specialists from McGovern Medical School Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine are available for prompt evaluation of all types of lung disease. Our physicians have expertise in pulmonary arterial hypertension, interstitial (restrictive) lung disease, sarcoidosis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), occupational lung disease and sleep apnea.
All sleep disorders are evaluated and managed, including insomnia, excessive sleepiness, movement activity during sleep, snoring and problems with the sleep/wake schedule. UT Sleep Medicine physicians also staff the AASM-accredited Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center in the Texas Medical Center, where overnight and daytime sleep studies are performed. These physicians provide pre-study evaluation and post-study follow-up as well as sleep consultations from other physicians. Both children and adults are evaluated by UT Sleep Medicine and in the Memorial Hermann Hospital Sleep Disorders Center.
